Phnom Penh, January 28, 2022 – The Institute of Digital Governance of Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology has organized the examination for the completion of the Digital Skill Essential training course for the 2nd generation civil servants of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. The exam was organized and took place on the 3rd floor of the Innovation Center, which was divided into seven groups over three days.

Digital Skills Essential Course aims to enhance the digital capacity of civil servants to serve the development, management, use, and provision of public services efficiently, safely, and effectively. Participating trainees must pass an examination and a quality assessment by a committee to obtain the required Digital Skills Essential certification.
After successful completion of the training, the Institute of Digital Governance also conducted two certification exams for the Digital Skills Essential to measure the ability of the trainees who completed the course, a total of 523 participants.

His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, said: “Digital skills are essential to increase work efficiency, especially in the implementation of digital government policies and digital economic and social policies. ”

By the end of 2021, the Institute of Digital Governance of the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology has provided the essential digital skills training to 568 for 1st and 2nd generation civil servants of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, which is a boost for personal and organizational work, as well as ready to follow in the footsteps of digital evolution, quality increase, effectiveness and efficiency of the digital economy and the Industry 4.0, especially to contribute to the implementation of the policies of the Cambodian digital government.

Institute of Digital Governance (IDG) is a specialized institution under the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT) to driving force of digital governance development in Cambodia to provide digital skill training for civil servants and promote technology transformation in government agencies.
