Phnom Penh: May 12, 2022His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, presided over the meeting and presented the ASEAN ICT Awards 2021 for both Cambodian winners. The winners that were announced at the ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting via video, included a gold medal to PillTech Solutions Co., Ltd and the bronze medal went to the QR Code Stop Covid System of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.


The ASEAN ICT Awards is an annual initiative and project in the implementation of the ASEAN ICT Masterplan 2015, the ASEAN ICT Master Plan 2020, ICT Masterplan 2020 and the ASEAN Digital Master Plan 2025 to recognize the best achievements in communication and information technology among entrepreneurs and institutions in the ASEAN region.

AICTA recognizes innovations in six categories:
(1) Public Sector
(2) Private Sector
(3) Social Responsibility
(4) Digital Content
(5) New business
(6) Research and development

The award aims to highlight the success, creativity, and innovation of ASEAN digital technologies to enhance recognition for ASEAN digital products, in the regional and international business opportunities and networks.

In particular, in 2021, Cambodia has also sent candidates from 4 companies / ministries-institutions. To compete in the ASEAN ICT Award 2022, of which there are 95 ASEAN candidates, as a result, we won medals one gold and one bronze, which is an excellent result and is in the main category of business, and research & development.

During the meeting and award ceremony organized to celebrate the winners and the awarding of letters of commendation to the contestants, H.E Chea Vandeth, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications express his appreciation stated that “ The winners and candidates who come today will be role models to encourage more participation with the goal to:
1). Introducing Cambodia’s digital products and services to the world
2). Promote regional national value on Cambodia’s competitiveness
3). Encourage young people to choose to study digital technology and digital business
4). Promote digital entrepreneurship and innovation in Cambodia and the region

The Ministry strongly recommended and reinforce more participation from all companies and institutions in this competition to show the potential and capabilities of Cambodia in the region. Through CADT and its subordinates, the Ministry will continue to support and encourage participation in the tournament in 2023 and beyond. ”

Once again, the Cambodia ICT Award committee wishes to share our sincere congratulations to the winners and encourage all winners and candidates to continue their efforts in expanding their business activities and grow further in research as well as participate in sharing successful experiences with the next generation, especially young people to contribute to the digital revolution in Cambodia into building a digital economy and society.
