BACKGROUND:
Career Center, in partnership with the USAID Digital Workforce Development, is a center under the institute of Digital
Technology, Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT). It is established to connect HEIs and the local Private Sector for the
creation of internship programs and/or job opportunities for students and young professionals. The center will also help address
the mismatch of youth skills and employer needs through soft skill training and workshops.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists students with preparing resumes, interviewing skills and searching for jobs & internships electronically
- Engaging students in career development and preparation to make the best use of their talents, resources and
experiences - Creating opportunities for students to connect with alumni and employers
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with local, national, and global employers
- Collaborating with faculty and campus partners to facilitate career education and preparation
- Promote employment to graduating students, current students and alumni within all academic departments and in the
community - Participate in external marketing activities designed to cultivate industry relations and diversify and expand employment
and internship opportunities - Advise computing and engineering graduate students, via one-on-one meetings and group career seminars, to help them
secure jobs and internships by using industry and company knowledge to provide targeted advice and support - Serve as the primary point of contact for computing and engineering graduate students in career-related matters
- Help computing and engineering graduate students practice job seeking skills for technical companies by developing
events, such as technical resume workshops, technical interview workshops, salary negotiation, and other technical
industry specific job search strategies and best practices
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work directly and effectively with students
- Effective team-building, collaborative, and consensus-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate organized work groups of educators, industry representatives, and parent, community,
and labor leaders - Understand and apply labor market information to the planning and implementation of career and technical
education/work-based learning - Functional computer skills
- Excellent time and resource management
