Business Development Officer

The Institute of Digital Research and Innovation (IDRI) is a public research institution under the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT) in charge of research and development in digital technology and digital innovation and entrepreneurship promotion. The Digital Innovation Center (DIC) is a department under IDRI that plays an important role to empower digital entrepreneurs and digital startups ecosystem as well as to connect between academia, industry and government institutions and identify digital experts to help public and private.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage projects related to digital innovation, startups, and SME development to ensure they are executed successfully within budget and aligned with organizational goals.
• Facilitate and coordinate events, workshops, and programs to foster digital innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup growth, both internally and externally.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, internal teams and industry partners to develop strategies and initiatives that promote digitalization, innovation, and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
• Foster a culture of innovation within the organization by facilitating idea generation, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and reports to communicate project concepts, progress, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with program or project stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure that the program and initiatives are realized and delivered.
• Manage event contacts and stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS

• At least Bachelor’s degree in business, entrepreneurship, tech or related field
• Good understanding of digital technologies, emerging trends, and the startup landscape
• Good networking and relationship-building skills, and able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
• Experienced in event management, program coordination, and project implementation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, commitment and self-management skills
• Passion for entrepreneurship, startups, and digital innovation, with a genuine desire to support the growth of the ecosystem
• Good at written and verbal English and Khmer language
• Social media design and content creation skills and Web development skills are a plus
